Noonan

Since its launch in 2022, Noonan grew rapidly as AI-powered golf analytics gained popularity. But the original interface felt too dark and clunky, inconsistent across screens, and difficult to navigate during an actual round. New users struggled with onboarding, and the app's visual identity no longer matched the refreshed brand the team had developed.

We worked closely with the branding team to fully understand the new guidelines: a shift from dark, techy aesthetics to a warm, earthy palette with deep greens, cream tones, and terracotta accents. The typography moved to a more approachable pairing that feels premium without being corporate. Every UI element was rebuilt to reflect this identity.

Golf apps need to work in bright sunlight, with gloves on, between shots. We redesigned every interaction for on-course usability: larger touch targets, higher contrast, simplified scoring flows, and smart club selection that reduces taps when you're standing over a ball. The home screen gives you everything you need in one glance.

The scoring system was completely rebuilt. We simplified hole-by-hole entry, added visual feedback for shot tracking, and designed the stats dashboard to surface actionable insights without overwhelming the golfer. Club stats, dispersion maps, and tournament scoring all follow the same clear visual language.

We delivered a complete design system: color styles mapped to the new brand palette, a type scale with clear hierarchy, reusable components for buttons, navigation, tab bars, modals, and input patterns. Every component was documented for the development team to implement consistently as new features ship.
